The challenge

Contributor communities need more than one-off instruction. Participants require accessible guidance, follow-up support, practical tasks, and pathways for continued participation.

The approach

Robert combined facilitation, contributor guidance, documentation, peer support, and community coordination across organised learning and contribution programmes.

Selected results

Dashboard totals connected with these instructor programmes include 4.46 million words added, 8.07 thousand references added, 39.7 thousand articles edited, 4.85 thousand articles created, and 4.29 thousand Commons uploads.

The lesson

Contribution totals show reach, but sustainable impact also depends on confidence, retention, leadership development, and support after an event. Dashboard figures should be read as a snapshot and may overlap where contributions are associated with more than one programme.
